Randy Black's musical journey began at age 7 with piano lessons. He then started playing guitar in high school and joined his first band and began performing. Randy performed with many bands during his college years at Radford University, and began learning how to improvise on stage, something that would forever shape his approach to music. He hasn't stopped playing since, entertaining as a solo artist and in bands. He has shared the stage with many musicians over the years, including Levon Helm from The Band, Muddy Waters guitarist Bob Margolin and Leon Russell: one of the best rock and country pianists of our time. During these years, Randy has developed into a professional performer in a number of different styles and genres.
